almost always...

the dvd marathon begun a little early this weekend. i picked out five movies to watch. i started out with a tamil movie, translated 'Silence Speaks'. the movie is about how people see things differently. the perspectives a guy who doesn't care much for women and the matters of love. he thinks its a waste of time with all the bullshit out there but ends up falling for this girl eventually. he ends up changing his mean ways, his brutal insights to love only to end up with that he misunderstood her signals. she never loved him, she only liked him and his ways but not him. people watching the movie (well, my housemates for one) would probably consider her a bitch for taking him on this false ride of misery. but it was him who saw everything they way he wanted to see things. he never bothered to check the view out from the other side of town, did he? makes you think, that there is always two sides to the story and probably even a small piece of truth on both sides. all depending on how you see things.

dvd number 2, well i couldn't be watching another serious movie, so it was 'Without a Paddle'. who knew there was actually something valuable to be learnt at the end of it, the gift of life, is life itself. it was hilarious, considering all 3 of them aren't really veteran comedians. i was shocked to see Burt Reynolds make an appearance at the end of it. that was fucked up, powerful actor in a role like that. go watch 'Driven' and 'Mystery Alaska', Reynolds explodes in his roles. but it was nice to see him go back to old school comedy, remember 'The Bandit'.

dvd number 3, sorry to disappoint everyone, but i haven't watched 'Hell Boy' before. what the fuck was that movie all about? the 7 gods of chaos? holy shit. graphics was errm, not that bad. oh well, theres always downside to everything but i'm a movie buff and it was a piece of entertainment, i watched it and i enjoyed it. except for the ending, my dvd fucked up on me. i'm confused, was it 'Hell Boy' that was released in malaysia but it was called 'Super Sapiens'?

dvd number 4, now being in the state of missing my family so much, i had to go watch a movie with family values, 'October Sky'. the fact that it teaches you that everybody is destined for greatness, by choice. there was another story to it all. heros come and go in peoples lifes but fathers are forever. out there we'll always have someone great to look up to. someones achievements will always inspire us to become good or reach for greatness, but its almost always, your father that makes you a man. the story was very fimliar, only until it ended i realize i've read the book, 'Rocket Boys'. true story about a boys dream to build rockets but coming from a coal minning small town in Virginia, he ends up as a NASA flight engineer. now i miss my dad, hope i'll be his rocket boy someday. happy fathers day dad.

dvd number 5, is running right now, while i'm typing this, dialoges like these are flying out of the screen;

'whoo ahh...'
'have you ever burried you nose in a flock of curls...'
'a distant second, a Ferrari...'
'uh oh, we gotta moron here...'

my favorate all time;

'all my life i stood up to everyone and everything, cause it made me feel important. you do it, cause you mean it...'

no you don't get any rewards for guessing it, 'Scent Of A Woman'. the greatest movie ever made and i'm gonna go watch it now, so adios amigos. hey another question, i got another 2 movies, 'Fallen', a Denzel movie and 'The Girl Next Door', which should i watch afterward?

later...
